New Skin is an exploration of the use of natural objects and man made materials. The processes of scraping, carving and painting were involved to transform the objects. The acrylic paint blends and contrasts the outlook of the branches, giving it an artificial and natural appearance to the work. By manipulating the once fallen branches, they are given a chance to be noticed with a new appearance.
